Carolina Associa Branches Celebrate Veteran and First Responder Partnerships

Carolina Overlook by Del Webb, a North Carolina community managed by Associa Carolinas, was recently recognized for its two-year partnership with Military Missions in Action (MMIA). The partnership has positively impacted more than 600 veterans and family members over the past two years.

MMIA helps families through programs that provide household furnishings, accessibility improvements, and other essential resources. In recognition of the community's contributions, MMIA presented Carolina Overlook by Del Webb with a Certificate of Appreciation honoring its commitment to supporting military service members, veterans, and their families.

“Carolina Overlook by Del Webb is a powerful example of what can happen when residents come together around a shared purpose," said Ed Corless, branch president of Associa Carolinas. "Over the past two years, residents have demonstrated an incredible commitment to supporting veterans and military families. At Associa Carolinas, we're proud to support communities that foster meaningful connections, encourage giving back, and create a positive impact that extends well beyond their neighborhoods.”

In South Carolina, Atlantic States Management (ASM) celebrated Halloween by partnering with the Bluffton Police Department for a Safety Spooktacular event. In addition to costumes, candy, and trunk-or-treating, families in the area were also able to meet with first responders, learn more about their work in the community.

They were also able to explore fire trucks, ambulances, police helicopters, boats, and more provided by the local organizations. The event, held at Oscar Frazier Park, highlighted ASM’s commitment to bring communities closer together and help them thrive.

“We want to bring everybody together,” said Carrie Murphy, ASM Executive Vice President. “When people are happy and thriving, the community is thriving. That is the point of our business.”
